Friday dawned bright and clear,
She hummed and sang,
With joy and cheer
For the wonderful dream,
Had swept her,
Off her feet
The dream hinted,
Her poem printed,
In the magazine for the youth
She giggled
A ballad she had never written,
For a person she had never met,
In the magazine for the youth
She giggled
For her youth too was now,
A wonderful dream,
She had once seen,
One wedding, two kids and three grandkids ago
