The Lake
Flowing water looks so perfect
fairies fly across the surface
my summer dress is what they'll see
my flowing skirt rests at my knee
play in the sand bed
all summer long
roll in the mud
sing a short song
when winter comes
I'll skate till dusk
scarves and wool mittens
of course are a must
my years are endless
they stretch to the stars
scabs and skinned knees
maybe even a scar
when up to your ear
the waves you will hear
something about it
man could not mate
my heaven
my coven
utopia
the lake
