Two Stars Twinkled Brightly
Two stars twinkled brightly
In those golden orbs you called eyes;
Stars as bright as heaven itself,
Their beauty no surprise.
A voice like roses and chocolate
Could put Barry White to shame;
It tingled in my body
Every time you spoke my name.
Your face was so persuasive
You could make a mute man speak;
Your smile made me think of you
Each minute, hour, week.
The coffin now lies closed in church,
Your body torn and mangled;
Choke back screams, lay down the flowers,
And cry for the death of an angel.
