The Penguin
Coming back from the sea,
Where she fished for something to eat,
She sleds on her belly,
After eating fish that are smelly.
Then she waddles on home;
After the long, long roam,
Towards her colony
Which from far away looks quite wee.
After lots of fun in the freezing and sun,
It’s time to run,
But as she’s a penguin quite slowly
Back to her flock’s icy valley.
The penguin enters the valley’s gate,
And is greeted by her mate
On whose leg,
There is her chick that was before just an egg!
