the waiting room
linoleum tile, the clean stale air
only a hospital can feel this way
anonymous noises expand and leave my mind bare
nothing will make this bearable, no matter whoat they say
blurred faces fade into still focus
they are solemn and still
who do they apologize as if they know us?
i don't scream and self-destruct, not by my volition or will
anxiety sets in, the panic is starting to build
my mind is hollow
