Love is one of the strangest things
It makes people cry
It makes people sigh
And some end up giving others gold rings
Sometimes a man to his lover will sing
And some people love though no one knows why
Some are so driven they’re willing to die
But often when death at the doorbell rings
Is when love from the heart is strong and like new
The threat of separation makes love like a fire
A consuming passion, an intense desire
But the lover will die like most people do
Love does not leave it’s victims alive
So step aside and let love pass you by
