Harder Than You Think
Everyday is making an effort to what will become nothing
Everyday you see the people who will be nothing to you
The only thing that they will be is a small memory of nothing
I watch these people move onto new places with new impressions to be made;
While I just sit, watching, nothing but watching them move on.
They always complain how they are moving around to new places
But isn’t being left behind worse?
It’s just as hard. Even harder than moving.
Everyday is making an effort to people who will just be gone
Everyday you see the people that have no meaning.
Some are amazing friends and some are remarkable people
But it always makes me think, why should I care about these people?
They will just be gone in a year or so.
These people don’t know what it’s like from our eyes
We are forgotten, abandoned, deserted, and just cast aside.
We never are the new kids. We are just there,
Just making a pointless effort
We are the roots in the ground
Never leaving, just letting other grow off of you
We will always be here, but we will never be noticed.
