Sailor on the open sea
do you know where you embark?
Through the waves in shades of green.
Rocking in your wooden ark.
Salty eyes tell the tale
of a home so far away.
Where in an inn you drink your ale,
and bring back feelings once astray.
No lover shall your hardened heart
ever get to hold.
For even as you drift through time
growing gray and old.
Love to you shall reveal itself as a mockery.
For the only lover that you have is
the open sea.
