The Things that Disappear
Where does the time go
When it runs away from our minds?
Does it hide under blankets of snow
And stay there long past winter?
Where do the memories hid
When you try to recall in the dead of the night
And you think maybe they’ve died
‘Cause you can’t remember like you’d like to
What happens to the thoughts
That run away before we can grasp them
And leave paper covered in inkblots
Because we cannot find the words
Do they all hide together
All combined in one singular place?
And take up acres and acres
Of space between them all?
