You say you want to know if I'll be okay-
But I know your motive is just to see another lost soul saved,
You begin playing that relationship game
By talking,calling and texting me everyday.

You invite me to Sunday Church-
You tell me there's something there to stop all my hurt,
So I go
And what do you know,
The buildings full of people just like you
They're all doing the 'saving bit' you do.

All they care about is just another name
And another lost soul for them to claim,
So that one day when they die
They can tell the 'Maker' They did what was right.

When I stop going to your hypocritical studies
You are right back at it and trying to save me,
You tell me give it another shot
And say trust me this will close that gap in your heart,
So again I foolishly listen
And I go back to the same thing I was doing-
Going to Church;
Supposedly that'll help stop my hurt.

I go on Sunday and again you're at the alter
Arms held open waiting for me to become a 'fellow believer.'
Why so I can be just like you?
And all the other soul-hungry people too?

The ones who don't really care about the person underneath the surface
But only whether or not they as 'Christians' can fulfill their God-given purpose,
By saving another lost soul
Just so they can continue to put on that Christian show.
