In Darkness, Where I Lie
If you can see me in the night
In the darkness of the shadows
I will forever be yours
For you will never see me but
An outline of my body
Not meeting my eyes
Only my voice will ring in your ears
I will forever be yours
Even though not in hand
But through heart and mind
But can you stand to be blind
In this wicked way of love and life
It is this kind of love
We fall into everyday
In a crowd
Waiting for a response
So I ask you would you love me
Without sight but noise
Not through looks but my voice
Would you love me still?
For I will always be yours
Can you give me this answer?
As I wait in mother’s arms.
