My Mother, My Friend
I'm reminded of her love, her sincerity
Her smell was like hot coco on a blustery winters day,
the trickling warmth drowning my insides
Brining me closer to the light of comfort
Her kindness was evident,
even in the darkest of times
Helping those desperate for attention
and those who just need a friend
My love, stolen
Taken from me
Death is cruel: unforgiving, untimely
Will time mend a shattered heart?
And yet, hope is near
Are you still listening?
Are you still with me,
even though you remain unseen?
Family,
All is never lost
never presented
never controlled
I love her now and always
For forever
All eternity
Love is never lost
