Ribbons of beauty
Ribbons of old
Her eyes capture me
Locking me away with glitter
Swallowing my soul in caramel
Swallowing my soul in amber
Her curls stalk me
Bouncing from shoulder to back
Swirls of honey
Swirls of black
Her voice loves me
Praising me up from down
Uplifting my heart
Uplifting my frown
Her status haunts me
Ripped away before I try
No chance of us
No chance I cry
Her love is not mine

Very, very powerful! The repeating 3rd and 4th lines add so much. Great poem :)
