My little city

There it was in my dreams
My city
With all the little sparkling lights
The yellow dots that light up the night sky
The clear white light of the stars
And the rush of the river
The sound of crickets
Chirping in the spring air
A soft wind
Carries the soothing lullaby
And rocks
My little shinning city
Into a deep and peaceful slumber
