There is more to life besides increasing its speed.

Once upon a time
Long ago we met
Me young and naïve
You, with your face in stone set

You were so cold
That soon I didn’t care for you
But then I started to see
These small patches of blue

They were small, pure and clear
Those little patches
Clinging to your hair, your skin
Your eyes and eyelashes

And at first I didn’t believe it
So sharp your glare
I had to really look
To find them deep in there

As time past
They became more real
Was it just me
Or were you learning to feel?

You started to laugh
Let out a smile
It sounds like overnight
But the change took awhile

The patches of blue soon
Took over your face
They fit so well
Like a puzzle piece in place

I was happy then
That those little patches of blue
Had created and defined
A whole new you

But then I realized
That you were always what I now see
It just took time
For you to show me
