Orange & Yellow
Yellow and Orange, the true colors of desire
Because even without red, they still make fire
Yellow ignited the sparks that drew me to you
Orange conjured the flame, a mesmerizing hue
Like loud yellow; you captured my attention,
Like soft orange; you invited me in so I made my decision,
I want you with me under the bright, yellow summer sun
Under the orange leaves of fall continuously on the run
Chilling winters on the beach near a burning bonfire
To wet spring in cloudy skies much higher
So in the dark you're the yellow lantern guiding home
The warm orange hands holding mine, letting me know I'm
Not alone.
