"Life is a system of balance. One thing will always be accompanied by a proportionate level of its counterpart. Happiness is more valuable when interrupted by periods of sadness." ~Bruce Stonemills

Trouble seeks and trouble finds.
Trouble ties and trouble binds.
Chained in bondage you are caught.
Artful Dodger you are not.
You are trapped when Trouble knocks.
Promethius strapped to a rock.

Then Trouble takes you on parade.
People jeer and screech your name.
Forced to face them, one and all.
Put on trial, Trouble calls
the jury, quite a motley crew.
But the judge my dear,

the judge is you.

I often like to close my eyes and open to any random page in the dictionary, then blindly jab my finger at any point on the page. The word upon which my finger lands is the title/topic of my next poem. I produced this poem from choosing 'trouble'.
