I Never Want to
I never want to delight in evil things and love to hate. How damned I would be if I sought the darkness, married it, loved it more than the light, kissed the shadows and embraced the phantoms, caressed the evil and shunned the holy. I never want to dismiss the good, sin in glee, and ignore the only good thing. I never want to be good on the outside, but sick on the inside, treasuring black, harboring hate, but acting good and just like a pharisee. I never want to deny the One, I don't want to do what Peter did, not trust God, or flee; I never want to turn my face from His.
