I Wish I Had the Courage
I wish I had the courage to tell you how I feel
To tell you how I felt when I truly saw you for the first time this year
It feels so obvious, the way I feel
Everyone knows it, yet you can't see it
You would make this so much easier
If you'd take the first step
No matter how hard I try
 The butterflies still invade
Twisting my words whenever you're around
My nerves go crazy, and I know I act insane
I laugh out loud at you crazy faces
At your silly antics and insane imitations

I wish I had the courage to tell you how I feel
To tell you how my heart flutters each time I see you
It seems so obvious, so why don't you see
 You've taken over me
Your haunting eyes stay with me always
Your image has taken over my mind
 You're there constantly interrupting
In my thoughts, in my dreams
 You've taken over me
It's like a spell you've cast on me
If only it were easier to say
The words that are on my mind
