Too soon
He was my Popaw and a dear friend
Everybody, including me, loved him until the end
Don't get me wrong, we still do
It's just not fair, He took you too soon
We've all cried a number of countless times
Wishing there wasn't truth to my little rhyme
But now you're gone
And we sing our goodbye songs
There's no doubt we'll meet again one day
But when that day will come, we can't say
None of us knows what anymore to do
In our family you were the glue
Over losing you we're still crying
But somewhere in the clouds, we know you're flying
So, with heavy hearts, with our lives we must carry on
None of us even a little happy that you're gone
Tell me what must we do
There's nothing we can do, because he took you too soon
