Told You
I told you today. I told you.
 I can’t believe it.
 My biggest secret,
 I told you.
I have spent years building up my wall of protection,
 And then met you,
Slowly, I could feel you lifting me out of the pit I had fallen into.
Nothing made sense until my eyes were opened.
 I could see the world.
 I could sense you,
My mask was begging me to shut myself up again, but I could not.
I feeling of being loved with all my faults was marvelous.
 And the taste,
The taste of forgiveness dripping off my tongue,
Like a fragrant kiss on my lips,
I told you, and now I’m free.
