Again and Again

I feel like I have done this
a million times before
I can feel the ache of the back
and the pounding headache
from a long day
the loneliness in the heart
the dying strength of the legs
the glitter in the eyes
the feel of independence
the dread of the future
not even taking a chance to look
to feel
and I can truthfully say
it wouldn’t be the
first time
