Stitches
I’m a teenage lobotomy
From 1920’s marquees; Nosferatu, Dracula and
 Frankenstein …
From the ivy that shallows the backyard
 and
swamp grass that devours the lily pads

on the rainy ponds of dark water.

The insatiable “tick, tock, tick, tock”

 Of a Geiger counter

Dusty photos and dirty film in the attic
 I have Halloween spirit that…
 smells like teen spirit

 I’m Dead!

I’m from what these people have made me

 a contusion in my brain

 a tumor of emotion
 These people left me in

 sutures

 in stitches.

Now I stand like a HORROR film
 psycho…
 like a Nosferatu, a Dracula, a Frankenstein

like a man that crawls like a worm from the bird
