Sunless Wasteland
Rain descends from the ominous, grey beast,
Like water after a cold shower.
The creature taunts me,
Appearing within my grasp,
Knowing it is out of my reach.
The mysterious monster comes and goes,
Being whisked away by the ancient winds of the earth.
A chilled liquid leaks from the darkness,
And blankets the world in a dreary, wet fog.
But blue skies herd the beings into the horizon,
Like a cowboy rounding up his cattle,
Cleansing the region,
And washing away the cold, gloomy shadows.
