One does not have much Nortelrye,
If forgotten words, they do not mourn with a sigh
And Slæpwerigne, pour over parchments old,
And find words once spoken, but still shining gold.
Like a Flother, no word is the same,
They are unique as a person’s name.
Intriguing artifacts of times long gone,
I search often for the Hapax legomenon.

The author's comments:
A hapax legomenon is a word that occurs only once within a context, either in the written record of an entire language, in the works of an author, or in a single text.
Nortleyrye means education.
Slæpwerigne means sleep weary.
Flother means snowflake.

To be honest with you, I have no idea what this poem it talking about. This is truly one of the first poems to literally stump me. But at the same time, I enjoyed reading it. It has a smooth flow to it. I'm going to keep trying to decipher it.
