Like a River...

Like a river twirling past,
Slowly, quicker, and it goes
Continuing, not once yet stops
On and on, it flows, it flows
Like a drumbeat tapping on,
Softer, louder, and it thumps
Maintaining rhythm, by and by
With the pace, it jumps, it jumps
Like a flower blooming up,
Crouching, standing, few more times
Little by little, bit by bit
Tenderly, it chimes, it chimes
Like a candle losing light,
Smaller, dimmer, pity cries
Seizing life, its final beat
Silently, it dies, it dies.
