Shattered Doors

I don't need you anymore
walking out the shattered door-
leaving behind all the pain,
stepping into the cleansing rain.
Close my eyes unto the storm,
here I feel oh so warm.
This is where MY time starts;
this is where our two worlds part.
Will I ever be more than a shadow to you;
was "true love" ever TRUE?
Will you ever see me for me,
or will you only see what you want to see?
Will I ever be more than a silhouette-
or was I just something you'll always regret?
Walking from our broken past-
looking for something that will last.
Hands held out to catch the skies tears
as they wash away all of my fears.
The sky is crying along with me;
no light ahead as far as I can see-
Yet, I keep going on;
walking ahead until you're gone.
My world was always yours
