Where was I three years ago?
I was laughing at Johnny's jokes
In with the cool girls and
Crying over my first boyfriend
Where was I two years ago?
I was laughing at Valerie's jokes
With the same friends and
Tasting my first kiss
Where was I a year ago?
I was watching my friends surrender
To things which we promised
Never ever to succumb to
Where am I today?
I am happy with new, real friends
While sadly I watch the old
Slowly drown in a cloud of smoke
