Thorugh The Window
Light beams in the window
setting a sleek smile across my face
as the sweet golden honey
drips off the bees' home
the sour cranberry trees
weave into the blanket of blue
forming a fragile quilt
and the silent leaves
fall still against the sky
pushing the plush clouds aside
the streamers of sunlight
seem to shave the prickles off the holly bushes
suddenly, the October wind
whispers a secret to me
giving me chills
I still hold that
secret close to me
that this place is more than a house
this place is a home
