"You asked me brightly where I came from to your side and I told you it was a secret."

The panda and the penguin started out scared,
they didn't want their minds to be shared
for everyone to see.
They closed their minds, they stopped being free.
They let go of everything they cared.

Anyone who met them would be dared
to find out about the burdens that they carried.
They would reply with "You'll never understand me."
THey were alone, the panda and the penguin.

When they met, they were both teared
However, the two were paired.
They let out a silent shout of glee
for secretly they were each other's cup of tea.
But they don't know. They both still glared.
But they care, the panda and the penguin.

The author's comments:
I wrote this poem because it sorta describes how my friend's and I's life was before we met each other and how we are now. We were both in a bad state of mind, being sad all the time, etc., until we met each other and got close. Now we are super close. Even though we call each other names and play dirty tricks on each other (hint: the glare), we love each other.
