Favorite Quote:
"One bright day in the middle of the night
Two dead boys* got up to fight [*or men]
Back to back they faced each other
Drew their swords and shot each other

One was blind and the other couldn't see
So they chose a dummy for a referee.
A blind man went to see fair play
A dumb man went to shout "hooray!"
[or: And two lame men came to carry them away]

A paralysed donkey passing by
Kicked the blind man in the eye
Knocked him through a nine inch wall
Into a dry ditch and drowned them all

A deaf policeman heard the noise
And came to arrest the two dead boys
If you don't believe this story’s true,
Ask the blind man he saw it too! "-i have no idea who actually wrote this poem but it was quoted on the movie "Haunting In Conneticut."

I'm dancing in the ashes
living in my past
hiding away my soul
from everyone, from first to last

I'm dancing in the ashes
living in constant fear
hiding from myself.
from everyone far and near

I'm dancing in the ashes
finally i see a light
a brighter version
of everything in my life

still i'm dancing in the ashes
circle to circle
spin to spin
afraid to take the next step
in fear of a failing win

I'm dancing in the ashes
i circle one last time
a familair hand
takes a hold of mine

I'm standing in the ashes
looking into his eyes
and finally knowing
that he is truely mine

I'm standing in the ashes
being held in his arms
surounded by the dust
my heart no longer torn

We're standing in the ashes
i'm craddled in his arms
he blows away the dust and ash
as a new day is being born

This piece was inspired by my boyfriend of almost six months, at the time we started dating i was so called dancing in the ashes, i was living in my past, living in the dark, and when he came into my life he was the light i saw, he blew away the ashes and wiped away the dust, he taught me how to move on in life and live.
