The City of Mist
The City of Mist lies in the east
where mermaids and goblins enjoy a great feast
And no such common folk as humans step foot
Except for me, who got to look
I was walking by one sunny day
When i heard the laughter of play
So I decided to take a peep
Then i jumped back with a gigantic leap
Roses upon roses were blooming in a field
And such a fine smell, in my memory I sealed
There were trees and buildings towering tall
It made me feel very, very small
But such a sight, I've never seen
A city without dirt, it was perfectly clean
And that's when I noticed the pink sky above
And the shimmering, shinning shape of a dove
The bird swooped down with a razor sharp beak
I could tell by its eyes it was desperate to eat
The tiny people shook with fear
Embarrassing, I know, but I shed a tear
Then I ran to the city where shops tower high
I hid in am alcove and started to cry
This City of Mist is oh so new
But what really went on, I had a clue
Dragons roam the skies by day, the owls rule the night
The sea is of the bluest blue, the clouds a fluffy white
And the glowing mountains and evergreen forest
The faeries and elves, playful, but honest
The City of Mist glows, golden and glistening
The mystical folk sit around listening
The buildings there are made of brick
And when i gave the a might kick
The houses around me began to tumble
And all the creatures began to fumble
One closest to me pulled a string
And everything vanished with a shrieking ping
All that was left was the floating mist
And a small piece of paper clenched in my fist
And as i read it I began to smile
I wouldn't be back here for quite a while
For the City of Mist lies in the east
Where mermaids and goblins enjoy a great feast
And no such common folk as humans step foot
Except for me who got to look
