There are good and bad days-
sometimes I feel bipolar,
like a hurricane waiting to happen.
So self destructive;
drowning in my own pain nobody knows is there.
He’s the only one who hasn’t hurt me.
Heartbreak, lies, cheating, betrayal
like my favorite song on repeat-
except I hate it.

Our emotions are like the weather,
very teary like rain,
angry like a time bomb waiting to go off,
our Laughter is an earthquake uncalled for.
He’s the bright sunny warm summer day that makes me happy,
hatred it doesn’t come often but when it does
it sticks around as if it’s a hot dry desert going through a drought.
But my love is like a tsunami I drown people in it.

Throughout all of this
he’s the floaties that keep me from drowning:
his mood determines mine
happiness for him is all I want-
friendship has never been more important to me.
He’s like an old man who lost his wife
he sits in the chair by the window
looking out
remembering the great moments
as he grows old in loneliness and depression.

I am determined
to be the one that turns his life around,
the one who never leaves;
even when both our worlds are crashing down.
If then it’s still not enough,
I will try harder
mending his brokenness,
stitching up his heart
band aids for his boo boos caused by all his falls,
I believe he is strong.
