A Letter Never Sent
So many dangers
 on one
 sheet of paper.

 It's tear stained-
 the ink is smearing on
 this paper that
 holds all my feelings.

 I folded it with
 shaking hands.
 Two perfect creases
 that hold the pieces
 of my broken heart.

 I didn't know
 where to start, so
 I just wrote down every
 little thought that popped
 into my overwhelmed head.

 I've got the envelope
 addressed to you,
the one that took my heart
 and broke it in two.

 All stamped.
 All sealed.
 All ready...
 But i can't just
 leave it in the mailbox.

 This is my burden.
 So many words in this
 letter never sent.

 Like Romeo and Juliet,
 will this letter be
 the death of us?

 Is it all a mistake?
 What would you say
 if you read this
 letter never sent?

 So many dangers
 in this
 letter never sent.
 Tucked in an envelope-
the pieces of my broken heart.

 Not gonna send you this
 letter never sent.
'Cause you would take the pieces of my heart
 and crush them
 through and through.

 So I'll keep the burden
 and all the dangers,
and both the pieces of my heart
 that you broke
 in this
 Letter Never Sent.
