I am humpty dumpty. I sat on a wall,
a wall that had loved me, would not let me fall.
a wall that I'd spent every day with for years,
a wall that knew all of my hopes, dreams and fears.
so when the day of the great fall finally arrived,
I knew that my wall wasn't faithful, it lied.
with a shattered heart, and deafening cries,
I felt as though my future had been fried.
then they arrived.
all the kings horses and all the kings men,
each one a savior, each one a friend.
they all came to save me, tried to understand how i feel,
to listen, to talk, and help me slowly to heal.
they've pick up my pieces and patched up my cracked heart
I'm am thankful for them and for a new start
life is far too short to do nothing at all,
but rely on one person, my everything, my wall.
falling was the best thing that's happened to me
because now I know it and now I can see,
that that wall's not important, and though the end was abrupt,
all my days since have been sunny side up.
with my cracks and my scars that are all plain to see,
I will always be humpty, but its great to be me.
