As I Cry
As I cry, my body starts to chill;
My breaths are shaky but my movement sill.
As I cry, my fears come to life:
I am unwanted and out of sight.
As I cry, I feel more alone,
Even though I am at home.
As I cry, I only wear my shame,
Seen by those who don't know my name.
As I cry, my body starts to drown;
I scream for help but no ones around.
As I cry, I reach for a hand to hold,
But my story, my pain, remains untold.
As I cry, the darkness takes my life,
Now they will know I am not ‘alright’.
As I cry, I think of the burning sun;
Staring down the barrel of a gun.
