What Is hope
What is light
I keep searching
But in spite
Of myself
I keep falling
“it’s alright”
So they say
When will shadows
Go away
Free my mind
They are shrouding
All my life
With their lies
I just want to
Turn back time
Make things right
Now I wonder
If sweet times
Are at rest

The burning
In my chest
Proclaims hope and
Light and rest
Soon on the rise
My time will come!
I must not
Falter at
This wall of tests
Struggles build
My soul
And although painful
I will soar
To new heights

This mountain

To the bitter end
For the night
