Whitened parchment dreaming of shades and hues,
Crisp loose leaf hoping to mold architectural design,
Blank canvas anxious to be decorated with fantastical lines,
Furnish this initial accord as you wish.
Rusted flakes crawl unto your medium of choice and cake,
Browned blades lacerate an uneasy design.
Written with swords, a million lines
Carve crimson characters of unseen truth and ache.
Release your rusted grip upon your gift from mine.
