In my brain
In my brain,
It’s a jumble of thoughts
Nothing makes sense
As to why I feel this way
In my brain,
I fear the worst
Although it’s unlikely to occur
I can’t seem to stop it
In my brain,
Some thoughts so unclear
I can’t even explain them myself
Desperately wishing to turn a switch off
In my brain,
I wonder if this will ever end
This daily battle that has gone on for years
Labeled by doctors with endless scripts
In my brain,
I don’t know what’s going on
Why do I feel this way?
Am I the only one?
In my brain,
As chemical balances are manually changed
These feelings still remain
For this is anxiety
That is in my brain

This is something I thought was important to write about. There are so many misconceptions and anxiety is something that is a huge part of my life. Hopefully this will make people understand better.
