When I think about forever
My first thought is of you
Your overwhelming innocence
Never hiding the truth
You hold your head up high
In an effort to be strong
As I begin to cry
Knowing this is wrong
You and me-we aren't the same
But we are best of friends
I can't tell you the truth
Because I don't want it to end
You've stayed right by my side
When my own mother turned away
But if you knew the truth inside
You too, would push me away

I have been in love with someone for a long time, but I can't tell her. This poem along with many others that I've written about her gives me a sense of honesty to myself.

This is certainly one of my favorites: "I will become even more undignified than this, and I will be humiliated in my own eyes." -2 Samuel 6:22

Wow. It's nice to see this honesty in people. I can see from your poetry that you really feel for her. I hope it turns out well for you. Its nice to see a guy with this kind of talent. (I'm assuming your a guy.) Thanks for the comment. Keep writing.

God bless,
