Truthfully
Truthfully,
 The moon is beautiful,
 but not conceited.
 The sun is the opposite.
For the you can look at the moon,
 full on
 with no pain.
 Unlike the sun,
 who punishes
 everyone.

 Truthfully,
 The moon is better
 than the sun.
 For the moon goes away
 to think, to process
 problems;
it’s gone, but it comes back,
 always.
 For the sun never leaves,
 never thinks.
 It hides in the stars.
It won’t let the moon take it’s stage.
 It won’t let the moon
be a star, take the lead.
 It’s rash and irresponsible.
It doesn’t take time to think through
 what it does.
 It won’t,
 no,
 can’t ponder all the possibilities.

 Truthfully,
 all I think about
is how perfect they would be
 together.
