Hope
Is like a candle
The hope candles shine proudly and bright
But some flames are flickering
and dying.
When news of war hits,
or Global Warming updates
Some candles go out
They have given up.
But most candles are blazing with tough hope
For a better future
A more peaceful nation
A better world
As the hope candles flicker and die out
The flames aren't so bright
They are worn out.
But some candles are still strong
Shining brightly like stars
Filled with tough hope
Hoping and dreaming for the magic word
Peace.
