store:ies
stories exist in black and white
stories lead us with their light
stories are many, listeners few
maybe if i was more than what I am now, there would be a longer que
stories carry lessons
stories share blessings
they present us a chance to rekindle some feelings
stories explore aethereal places
all of them may not be true
but nothing is the same, always new
alas, my stories have recurring phases
perhaps they require someone who's mastered the mazes
a labyrinth of thoughts and life experiences
i cannot say much, not with my unfledged senses
so if it is a story of life you wish to hear
there is not much to say, i fear
perhaps one day when my time has come
i shall leave you with stories, every little one
the stories you may take as memories of mine
for stories are stored with the writer's time

this poem was brought to you by one of my top 100 most embarrassing moments ( i'm sure there's more to come). i the MC to introduce a story teller from a troop who had visited our school, but i ended up butchering their name (apologies to the person by the way). anyway, since the whole experience was related to story telling, i was inspired to write this poem about stories. i know it may not have much relation, but such is the mind of one who suffers with ADHD (self-diagnosed).
if you think about it, stories are often just someone's experiences, or something someone wishes they have experienced, or the sprout from someone's memories. so its kind of like a photo album, except instead of photos, they're someone's thoughts and feelings
