"If I could be any part of you,
I'd be your tears;
To be conceived in your heart,
Born in your eyes,
Live on your cheeks,
And die on your lips."

The moon shines brightly
As the snow falls pure and white,
The only thing that touches me
And remains untainted in this light.
The wind blows softly,
Carrying your words to my ears unrestrained;
Moving through me silently
And forever leaving your hands blood-stained.
The shadows grow darker,
Somehow deepening as you turn to leave.
Swallowing the heart I left at your feet
That now I know I can never retrieve.
The clouds move in faster
As the world falls around my ears
And while I watch the snow turns crimson,
Drowning in a pool of love-stained tears.

With this, I wanted to be really descriptive and tried to make the reader see as well as feel what I was trying to describe. It's basically a poem about a man/boy walking away from a woman/girl who did everything she could to love him. She pretty much made him her world, only to have him walk away and shatter that for some unknown reason, leaving her devastated.
I think the contrast between blood on snow is what inspired me. That and my own feelings at the time - though I don't think they were that extreme. .

What a great piece. It’s so understandable. You made it really easy to see where you’re coming from. I hope you keep writing, because this is really good. You should check out some of my stuff. I think you would like it.

Thank you very much. I really appreciate your enthusiasm. . I myself only gave it about three and a half stars, so thanks for such a high rating. ^^
