Though the pages may tear
Though the candle might flicker
Though my body is weary
I will tell of my life in joy and fear
Of this I can piccture
Of names which ring a bell
Though the pages may tear

Throughout the black night
Throughout the wailing wind
Throughout the cold hut
My trustworthy pen will write
And it's loyalty will not bend
My pen will climb over every rut
Though the pages may tear

Like a melodious song
Like a hummingbird's wings
Like a flooding river
I cannot stop for long
My words are going to sing
They will sing forever
Though the pages may tear

A round moon gazes indifferently
A small cricket gently chirps
A firefly zigzags over to me
Its light shining brightly
It illuminates my finished script
I am content my hands are free
Though the pages may tear

Though the pages may tear
Though the candle might flicker
Though the body is weary
It is best for people to hear
For them to see your picture
For you to tell your story
Even though the pages may tear.

I was looking at different types of poems to get a feeling what they are all about because I have to write a poem for my english class and when I read this poem I felt so many different emotions coming out of your writing. Good work!

What a great piece. It’s so understandable. You made it really easy to see where you’re coming from. I hope you keep writing, because this is really good. You should check out some of my stuff. I think you would like it.
