Lost.
I’m lost in a world I can’t seem to understand
Where no one ever offers to lend a helping hand
We live in a world that has turned so cruel
Always struggling under someone else’s rule
I wish I could find a love to call home
Once in his arms I would never want to roam
Safe and protected I would be
Finally living happily
No longer feeling cold and tossed aside
No longer being lost and feeling the need to hide
Someone else’s life might look just like a dream
But remember life is not always what it may seem
Everyone has a secret that has yet to be revealed
Everyone has a silent pain that has yet to be healed
Next time you feel like you are on the outside looking in
Remember that life is not a game you have to try to win
I might not know exactly who I’m going to be
But I know that being myself is the key
Because like everyone else I’m lost in a world I don’t understand
So next time I’ll try to remember to offer someone my hand
