Asymptote
How silly were we,
Thinking from two broken halves we could make one
A whole again.
Playing mathematician.
But again and again,
That whole was split,
Halves,
Quarters,
Fractions.
Down to the bone,
The atom, the stone,
We're simply too remote,
Eachother's asymptotes.
