Don’t call me baby,
I’m not your child.
You’re not my dependence,
I’m free to be wild.
Don’t call me honey,
I’m not sticky or sweet.
You can’t pour me out of a bottle
to be your little treat.
Don’t call me cutie,
I’m not reliant upon my looks.
You should see more to me than that,
I can’t be read like a book.
Don’t call me names,
You should see that in me.
Call me your lover, your friend,
but don’t call me baby.
