On this unknown journey as I embark,
I reveal to myself secret shut close in the dark
It’s true my arrival calls for destruction,
Being too weak, I gave in to addiction

The dark clouds sprinting to encircle me
Hopeful and courageous I will still be
The road-side rat dear with a neat hole
Its body felt as hollow as my soul

For so much time, how could I be a pachyderm?
Should I pop penicillin to kill the germ?
For quite some time, I felt too pent-up
Poetry and fortitude were enough as back-up



Now, I step out of the concrete jungle,
On a quest to see nature’s fury
I won’t get punished for my bungle
For nature is no harsh jury

Trying to separate myself from Earthly pleasures
I’m opened up to more things to do at leisure
It’s such a big world-I feel lost in it
Though times seem hard, I’m not calling it quits.
