Look Past the Shadow of Darkness
A black sky around heavy gray clouds,
With endless rain as your picture back round;
Depression as your best friend, With a horror story that will never end.
And fear as your beloved bride;
With your best man, death by your side;
You ask me can it get any worse?
But then answer your own question and say no of course.
So I nod my head to agree
For the answer hit my heart deeply.
I take a deep breath to tell you how I feel
For there’s a truth that your missing that must be unsealed;
I look you straight in the eyes
As you start to cry.
And I realize this is it!
Here’s the chance to get him out of this pit!
“The sky is black, I do agree.
But only during the night, when you should be asleep.
Yes, there are heavy gray clouds, but only before a storm.
After that there is sunshine! where a rainbow takes form.
And depression may be your best friend,
But in reality don't friendships always tend to come to an end?
And if that horror story is endless,
Grab a new book, where love is ageless!
And if you have a wedding with someone like fear;
I assure you she will be too afraid to even appear.
And if death is truly by your side
Well then, here’s a Bible, hold it with much pride.”
He was speechless, as he took the Bible and starred at it amazed.
Then said to me with his voice unfazed.
“I think I may have found something deeper then what you enticed.
Jessica as of today I have found Jesus Christ.”
